 For Writers:

• Playwrights are not required to be residents of the State of Utah.

• All entries are due no later than 9pm on July 20th. Plays may be submitted in paper form or electronically. Paper submissions must have three copies and should be delivered by hand (between the hours of 12pm and 9pm) or by mail to The Echo Theatre. Send electronic submissions to echo10submissions@gmail.com. All electronic submissions must be in PDF format with the subject line "Echo10 Submission".
• The title page of each script must contain the playwright's name, address, phone number, and email address.
• All plays selected for performance will be announced on our website, www.theechotheatre.com, on July 22nd. Individual playwrights will also be notified by email, or phone.

For Directors:

• Those who would like to considered to direct a ten minute play need to fill out an application found on our website at www.theechotheatre.com/echo10.html (see directly below this paragraph). THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JULY 23rd!
• Each director chosen, will be given the chance to read the selected scripts and submit consideration for their top 3 picks. (It is not guaranteed that directors will be assigned to their top pick.)
• Assignments will be given out at a mandatory meeting at The Echo Theatre, on Saturday July 21st at 1pm.
• Auditions will be held on Wednesday July 25th, at 6PM and Saturday July 28th at 10AM at The Echo Theatre. Directors will need to be present at 5:30pm, and 9:30pm for these auditions. 
• All Applicants should email their director forms to echo10submissions@gmail.com, 

      Or attach them in the registration form at the bottom of this page.

• SIDENOTE: This being our first year of competition, directors will more than likely need to find the majority of actors for their pieces, as it has been hard to gauge the exact amount of prospective actors who will be auditioning.

For Actors

• UPDATE! Auditions will be held on Wednesday July 25th, at 6PM and Saturday July 28th at 10AM at The Echo Theatre.

• Actors will audition for the entire group of directors, and will be considered for any role in any play. By auditioning, an actor agrees to be selected for any piece.
• An actor may appear in up to two different plays.
• It is recommended that auditioning actors come prepared with a short monologue, but sides will be provided for cold reads.
• Cast lists will be posted on the website two to three days after auditions.
• All Actors should RSVP for auditions by sending an email to "echo10submissions@gmail.com" subject line "actor submission".

Performance Information:

• Performances will be held on August 16th, 17th, and 18th at 7pm at The Echo Theatre at 145 N. University Avenue in Provo, UT.
• UPDATE! The third night of performances on the 18th, will show those plays which were selected by audience ballots, as the best of the previous two nights.
• The Awards Ceremony, will be held August 18th after the final performance, at approximately 9:30pm.
• Actors, directors and playwrights should be prepared to perform their play again on Saturday the 18th, if it is selected as one of the "Audience Selections".
• Prizes will be awarded for Writing, Acting, and Directing. There will also be an Audience Choice Award for each category.
